H.E. Ambassador Elrayih Hyduob, Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Japan, received at his office this morning Dr. Yasin Mohammed Ibrahim Idris, a distinguished Sudanese professional residing in Japan. The meeting was attended by Deputy Head of Mission, Ali Mohammed Ahmed Osman.

In a formal tribute, H.E. The Ambassador presented Dr. IDRIS Yasin with a certificate of appreciation on behalf of the Mission, celebrating his prestigious achievement of winning the “Architectural Institute of Japan (AIJ) Grand Prize 2026”. This honor comes in recognition of his innovative contributions to eco-friendly and zero-carbon building designs, which align with global efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change through energy-efficient architecture.

During the meeting, H.E. The Ambassador expressed Sudan’s immense pride in this qualitative achievement, praising the excellence and professional integrity of the Sudanese community in Japan. He further emphasized the vital role expected from Sudanese experts abroad in supporting national reconstruction and development programs, particularly in rebuilding infrastructure affected by the conflict.
